Mt Kenya Training - Hiking and Boating

Time is drawing closer, less than 2 weeks until I leave to Kenya to buy food, make a few final arrangements and then it all begins.
I decided to have a big day out this past Saturday, so I went for a hike up in the Mt Baldy area for 5 + hours before meeting up with a few people I met this summer for an afternoon of kayaking on the Kananaskis River.
It turned out to be an absoultely awesome day, both weather and activity wise. My hike as the pictures will show, was a fairly snowy affair which was a good workout for the legs, which they need with ascent we have coming in a few weks time.
The paddling was great, a tonne of people on the river having a good time, all getting ready to go home for a big ol' Turkey dinner.  Check out the pictures below from my hike near Mt Baldy.
