Mission Accomplished
Hi Everyone
Our journey has now come to an end, a very cool wrap up dinner at Carnviore restaurant and some drinking and gambling in Nairobi marked the end of this trip. All the crew are now either at the coast or on their way to Zanzibar to relax and take some time to chill before heading back to Canada.
Here I am spending some time dealing with travel agents and doing some boating with Mark, James and Michelle before flying back to Canada in 5 days. Once I am back with fast internet connection I will upload a ton of pictures and video.
I hope you all enjoyed the updates, check in next week for the beginning of the onslaught of photos....

Sagana, Mt Kenya and thoughts from Africa
G'day Everyone,
It’s been a few days since our last detailed update so here we go;
Kendra & Tate: We're back in Sagana after the mind blowing trip to Mt. Kenya and have spent the last couple days rafting and kayaking on the Tana river. So far, this trip has been an adventure on steroids! We never thought we'd be running a 10 foot waterfall in our kayaks!
Dan: Sagana is a hidden gem in Kenya. It's nothing I could have ever dreamed of. The rivers are amazing and the animals make it paradise. After sumitting Mt Kenya at 6am for sunrise, we made a historical decent on bicycle to the base by 5pm. Definitely the most challenging and rewarding trip ever. With only a few days left, I think we'll all miss everything here.
Cindy: Mt.Kenya was beautiful and definitely the hardest thing I've ever done. Now that we're back in Sagana we've been rafting and kayaking which has been sweet. And today I bungee jumped from 60 meters! It was a ton of fun…don't worry mom…I won't do it again on this trip and I'm back on the ground now J
Andy: We are finally back in Sagana and burned out. Yet again I got altitude sickness so I was in rough shape for a few days but I'm better now. That was by fare the hardest thing that I have ever done ever…good times. Today we did some kayaking and jumped some waterfalls, ran some wicked rapids and finished off the day with a 60m 200' bungee jump…yes I screamed like a school girl.LOL
Dave: hi everyone! Talk about a day full of adrenaline! Started the day off surfing some rapids on the lower Tana, after lunch we moved onto the upper Tana where we kayaked off a waterfall and ran some awesome rapids. We ended the day with a bungee jump… still scares the hell out of me every time. The Mountain was a great experience, one of the most challenging things I have ever done, not a lot of O2 at 16 000 feet. The bike ride down was another challenge in itself, unbelievable adventure.
Still a few days to go for most of the crew, so should be some good paddling tales to come over the coming days.
Stay Tuned……
